Hinduism suggests that “good and evil” is an overly simplistic and shallow, judgmental way of looking at reality. It breaks it down into a more fundamental dichotomy: Knowledge and ignorance, which is fundamentally identical to joy and suffering. True knowledge is joy. All suffering proceeds only from ignorance.
